Workshops are offered on demand
and can be tailored for
individuals
,
institutions
, and
organisations
at
both national
and
international
levels.
These workshops are shaped by over 27 years of experience in ceramics, with engagements across Pakistan and with established international institutions.
Each program is designed in response to specific needs, contexts, and levels of experience, ensuring that the learning remains relevant, focused, and meaningful.
Custom Workshops Workshops are designed as in-depth learning experiences tailored to the specific needs of individual artists, institutions, and organisations. Whether focused on developing a particular glaze, refining a clay body, or delivering structured technical training, each program is shaped by context, level of experience, and intended outcomes to ensure relevance and depth.
Technical & Process-Based Learning The workshops emphasise a strong technical foundation, enabling participants to understand and control their materials and processes.
Areas of focus may include wheel throwing, slip casting, and mould making using plaster of Paris, along with surface development through slips, engobes, and glazes.
For those interested in glaze chemistry, sessions can cover unity molecular formula, glaze calculation, material substitution, and methods for adjusting and refining glazes through real-time testing.
Independent Practice & Application The emphasis throughout is on developing knowledge that can be sustained beyond the workshop.
Participants are encouraged to work directly with materials, formulating their own glazes and clay bodies while building an understanding of material behaviour. This approach supports independent practice, critical thinking, and the ability to achieve consistent and reliable outcomes over time.
